Terms of Service
These terms are effective from 8 November 2026 (version 2).
Mingpath (mingpath.app, “Mingpath”, “we”) is operated by an individual seller based in mainland China. Contact: [email protected]. By using the site you agree to these terms. Please read sections 6, 7, 12 and 15 before you pay.
1. Merchant of record
Paid products are sold through Waffo Pancake (with Dodo Payments as an alternative provider), which acts as the merchant of record: it takes the payment, calculates and remits VAT/GST/sales tax, issues receipts and appears on your statement. Payment terms between you and the merchant of record are those shown at its checkout; the content and service are provided by Mingpath.
2. Age
You must be 18 or older to buy or sign up.
3. What we provide
Free: BaZi and Zi Wei charts, a daily card and an almanac. Paid: the Mingpath Member and Mingpath Companion memberships (annual or monthly, auto-renewing), a single question book, and synastry. Books and follow-up answers are generated by software (including AI) from your birth data, deterministic rules and classical texts. Quotas per plan (question books per month, follow-ups, charts) are shown on the pricing page, count per calendar month and do not roll over. Members also get a year book before each Lichun (the main chart for Mingpath Member, every chart for Companion), outside the monthly quota.
Inviting friends: a verified account has an invite link. When a new account that signed up through it pays for the first time, and that payment has not been refunded or disputed after 7 days, both accounts get 1 question-book credit. Each invited account counts once, and you cannot invite yourself. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred and are deleted with the account; we may withhold or remove credits obtained by abuse such as bulk sign-ups (section 8).
4. Not advice, not prediction
Everything here is for reflection and setting direction. It is not prediction and guarantees no outcome, and it is not medical, psychological, financial, investment, legal or other professional advice. For decisions affecting your health, safety, finances or legal position, consult a qualified professional.
5. Auto-renewal and cancellation
Memberships renew automatically for the period chosen at checkout until you cancel. Annual plans get reminder emails 30 and 7 days before renewal; monthly plans 3 days before. Each reminder has a one-click cancel link, and you can manage or cancel in My account. After cancelling you keep access until the end of the period, with no further charges.
6. Digital content and refunds
Question books, life readings, synastry and follow-up answers are digital content, supplied as soon as they are generated. By clicking a buy or subscribe button (such as “Buy this one” or “Subscribe · Mingpath Member”) you agree to these terms and the refund policy, and the merchant of record asks you to confirm its own terms at checkout. Payments are therefore not refundable, including first payments, renewals and single purchases; cancelling a membership does not refund the rest of the period.
There are only two exceptions: where mandatory law where you live requires a refund; or where a technical failure on our side means a book was never delivered after payment, in which case we first rewrite it and, if it still cannot be delivered, may refund at our discretion. 7. Changes to plans, quotas, prices and features
We may change plans, quotas, prices and features. We give at least 30 days' notice by email or on the site (changes in your favour may apply at once). A period you have already paid for keeps its terms until it ends; changes apply from the next billing period, and you may cancel before they take effect. Founding seats (50 annual memberships in total) keep their price for life: as long as that membership continues, every renewal stays at the founding price, whatever the list price becomes.
8. Fair use and abuse
A membership is for one person's own use (charts may be saved for family; books and follow-ups are for you). Every quota is stated on the pricing page (for example, 10 question books per calendar month on Companion) and is subject to fair use. To prevent automated, bulk, resale or abusive use we may set rate and volume limits; on abuse we may pause new books and follow-ups and, where needed, suspend or terminate the account (section 14). While a payment dispute is open, new books and follow-ups are paused.
9. Account
There is no password. You can leave an email to see a preview; until you open the link we send, sign in with Google, or pay with the same email, that email is used only to send the link, and books, membership and notes become visible once it is verified. Sign-in links are valid for 15 minutes and work once. Keep your email secure; actions taken through it are treated as yours.
10. Acceptable use
No automated scraping beyond the documented API and MCP endpoints; no use for harassment, discrimination or decisions about other people's rights; no charting other people without consent and publishing the results; no attempts to get around quotas, rate limits or payment.
11. Content and intellectual property
Books and answers generated for you are licensed for your personal use: you may keep, print and privately share them with family and friends; you may not resell, sublicense, distribute them in bulk or publish them for commercial purposes. Mingpath's question templates, timing rules and method, prompts, software, site content and design belong to Mingpath and may not be copied or used to provide a similar service without written permission. Quoted classics are public domain; translations and interpretations are Mingpath's.
12. Provided “as is”
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or available at any given time, or that any interpretation is accurate or leads to any outcome. Every chart convention and rule is published so you can check it yourself.
13. Changing or discontinuing the service
We may discontinue all or part of the service. We give at least 30 days' notice; unused prepaid membership time is refunded pro rata. Before it stops, you can download the books already generated.
14. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service and delete your data yourself in My account at any time. If you breach section 8 or 10 we may suspend or terminate your account; unless it is urgent or the law says otherwise, we first write to explain why and give you a chance to respond. Content already delivered is not refunded when an account is terminated for abuse.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mingpath is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses (such as lost profits, opportunities or data), and our total liability to you is limited to the amounts you paid Mingpath in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing here limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including for loss caused by our intent or gross negligence, for personal injury, or the mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
16. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. Changes take effect when posted on this page, with the effective date at the top; for changes that materially affect your rights or obligations we also notify you by email (and, for plans, quotas and prices, 30 days ahead as in section 7). If you do not accept a change, you may cancel and stop using the service at any time.
17. Disputes and governing law
Please write to [email protected] first about any problem or dispute; we reply within 14 days and both sides first try to settle it in good faith. Failing that, the law of the operator's place of residence applies, without depriving you of the protection of mandatory consumer law where you live, including the right to complain to a local consumer body or bring a claim in your local courts.
